I used to do delivery and was never able to find houses with my old flashlight. I bought this thinking it would be better for safety as well as lighting. It is reasonably light for a flashlight this size. The entire handle holds the probably 9 or 10 inch battery. I didn't have any issues until recently when it wouldn't turn on. I haven't really looked into why or if all the pieces are tightened. Great lighting though
