This unit is not good for finding the green. It needs a large reflective object to send back a signal. I tried to read a large palm tree and it didn't give a range, yet it did read the range of a telephone pole at the same distance. It would not pick up a Flag pole at 75 yards, much less the front of the green. Tried many times and it only gave a reading about 10% of the time.
