@# John Deere Heavy Hauler Tricycle

This is a pretty trike-John Deere green and yellow, of course... but unfortunately, Grandchild's short 2 year old legs didn't quite reach the pedals. He really loved the little dumper on the back -- and it is cute. Not good to stand on - (which he did immediately, of course!) but it is easily removed. The trike seems to stable otherwise - no tipping even when cranked hard to right or left. Light enough for child to push it easily.

The instructions were less than great. Since there were parts numbered "1" to "8", one would expect instructions to go to "8". Not so - the instructions ended at "3" and without a bit of experience in putting toys together, frustration is likely. I should add that there is very little to assemble- and the pieces fit well.

It is possible that our kit was simply missing the second page of instructions. Also surprising is that John Deere did not take the time to translate the instructions into proper English. It is necessary to supply your own tools -two wrenches and a screwdriver are minimum requirements.

The handlebar and main support parts are metal. Wheels are plastic and appear quite durable. The seat has back support and is without a center 'bump." Nice. Although the instructions skip this part, the screws for the seat go on with the little plastic part sticking out. Be careful when putting on the handlebars -- if the directions are followed perfectly, the handlebars must come off again when the front wheel is added, and the clamp will have to be opened wide again - better to do them all together at the same time.

Definitely would buy again - but maybe not until 3 years
