This light has two modes. So if you don't need a lot of light, use the least bright. With a full twist of the cap, or if you push hard on the 'on' button, it gives you an outstanding 200 lumen. It's one of my favorite Surefire lights. It's really amazing. It fits in the pocket perfect. I take it everywhere.
